NBA 2K11

So I finally got to try out NBA 2K11 after it's release on October 5th. I found it really interesting how you could play as past teams such as the old Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls teams and control legends such as Larry Bird and Michael Jordan.
Along with Michael Jordan comes a completely new part of the game called the Jordan Challenge. It lets you control Michael Jordan himself and help him accomplish many different achievements. As you get accomplishments, you will unlock different pairs of Air Jordans that Michael wore throughout his career.

Well.. I didn't get to play much of the game so I can't really explain much about the depth of the game yet... However, I do recommend buying it for all you NBA fans.

Too Busy Yesterday - Windows Phone 7

Hey there, I was too busy to post on my blog again yesterday due to an intense amount of homework and studying.

I`d like to talk about Windows Phone 7 today after seeing the review presented on GSMarena.

After reading the review, I thought that the new OS by Windows would be very interesting and efficient. The look of it is very simple and although it might look messy, it is a very unique style. Even though the phone doesn`t present multitasking, the fact that the OS is capable of integrating and extending apps is amazing.

The expected launch date for Windows Phone 7 is currently said to be October 21 in Europe and November 8 for the United States.

One of the first phones being released is going to be the LG E900 - Optimus 7. There isn't much specs about the phone yet. However, we do know that it packs a 3.8" touchscreen, 1GHz processor, 5-MP camera, and 16GB of internal memory. 

One Piece Chapter 599 - 9 Pirates

So once again, my favourite part of every week came again - new One Piece chapter. There`s nothing too much to say about the chapter other than that like usual, it kills any other manga out there.
*Spoilers coming up*
As I was reading through the chapter, I obviously didn`t get as emotional as last week, but I want to point out the fact that Zoro`s scar on his eye is on the wrong side. From the previous chapter, the scar is on his right eye, but during this chapter, it is on his left. Oh well. :P
On the other hand, Franky is looking BUFF. The size of his arms are nuts and he can still make a star shape. That was all that mattered.

If There Was A One Piece Movie - Portgas D. Ace

I was bored in class today and so I started thinking of a good Halloween costume again and eventually, one thought lead to the next. After a while I found myself thinking of suitable actors for a One Piece live action movie. I didn`t think much about the characters, the only one that I had in mind was Portgas D. Ace. After thinking a lot, i thought that the best actor for Ace would have to be none other than Rain Bi. He looks exactly like him!!

Nokia N8 - Starts shipping this week

So the highly anticipated Nokia N8 starts shipping this week. However, many reviews have already disappointed us about the phone itself.

Even though the phone is supposed to pack an amazing 12Megapixel camera, engadget has had a review with it where it compares the pictures taken from an N8, to those of an iPhone 4. The pictures taken by the N8 seem to have obvious camera shake; however, it is not noted by the reviewers. Also, with the new Symbian^3 operating system, it might take some time for people to get used to the functions.

Too Busy Yesterday - New Planet: Gliese 581g

So I was out the whole day so I didn`t have time to post anything yesterday. However, waking up this morning, I read some news about a new planet that astronomers have discovered: Gliese 581g.
This planet, located about 20 light years away from Earth is said to have conditions where extraterrestrial life might exist. The planet is rocky and is orbiting a red dwarf star. However, the orbit is so short that on the planet, one year is only 37 days. Discovery teams everywhere have said that the planet could have water and an atmosphere. An astronomer even said that: "the chances for life on this planet are 100 percent."
So with all these excitement about new life forms for the past couple days, what are you opinions on this? Personally, I would really like to see what kinda of life exists on this planet and what they are capable of. However, the part I am most interested in is how they look like. If aliens do exist, will they look like the ones we see in movies? Or something like a Zerg?

Interesting Day - Wondering About a Halloween Costume

So I was at school today and because I get off early on Fridays, it gave me time to come home for a nice nap.
Throughout the day, I was thinking about a nice Halloween costume for the year. My friends have all said that they will be dressing up as Pikachu`s but then I don`t want to do that.
My ideas for a Halloween costume this year is either a Starcraft Terran Marine, or a One Piece character (both of these ideas are due to me being an intense fan of both).
Getting a One Piece costume shouldn`t be too difficult, but I`m not sure if majority of the population at my school will know what I`m dressing up as... Which would be pretty sad. However, for the Marine costume, I`m sure everyone would know what I am dressing up as but I am not rich so I`d have to use cardboard to make it. It is for this reason that I am leaning away from the idea of a Marine costume because if it rains.... I can say bye to my beautiful suit :(

Since I am on the topic of these costumes, I`d like mention Atelier Fantastic` Art`s marine costume below.

If only I had the skills to make such a beautiful masterpiece... But to all the ONE PIECE fans out there... I will probably dress up as a One Piece character instead. I was really hoping to get intensely buff so I can go to school shirtless with a symbol of the Whitebeard Pirates on my back to *Spoiler Alert* remember our fallen heroes: Portgas D. Ace and the almighty Whitebeard (Edward Newgate).

One Piece Chapter 598 - 2 Years Later

Personally, I am a HUGE fan of Eichiro Oda`s One Piece. The manga took a 4 week break after releasing chapter 597 - 3D2Y. On the fifth week after the break, the highly anticipated chapter finally released today.

As i read through chapter 598 - 2 Years Later today I felt a lot of emotions because it felt as if I had not seen these characters for 2 years myself. I am SUCH a huge fan that there have been many chapters of the manga that has brought my to tears with this chapter included. I am truly thankful for this masterpiece by Oda.

Been Very Busy...

Sorry!! I have been very busy lately so I haven`t been updating the blog much. I`ve currently been very busy with... Starcraft II!!!

I got a free Battle.Net account from a friend of mine so I`m playing using that account for now until I can get my own. Currently, I am HORRIBLE at the game, I play Zerg and I am quite clueless as to what I am supposed to do.. :(
I am already thinking of a halloween costume for this year. However, I am clueless as to what I want to be. With my recent Starcraft II hype, I really want to dress up as a Terran marine. I`m going to have to build the costume from scratch... Kind of difficult.

Results From Tournament

Well I'm back from VLTBC after my tournament today. I didn't do as well as I expected, but the results weren't too bad. Although i warmed up properly and performed well, I wasn't playing smart which ended up costing me the match against Sam Dunner and Karl Haebler of Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club.

The club itself is located West Vancouver in which I believe is part of the Shaughnessy district. The club is beuatiful but expensive.

Overall Match Record : 1-1
